Each Year, More than 200,000 Patients Die from Preventable Causes.

The Patient Safety Movement confronts a variety of causes with actionable ideas and innovations to transform the process of care by dramatically improving patient safety and eliminating preventable patient deaths.

2014 Summit Challenges:

We are going for ZERO by 2020.

To reach this audacious goal, we need the entire healthcare industry to join us now by making measurable commitments to zero preventable hospital deaths by 2020.

Hospitals and other stakeholders have committed to implement particular recipes, or develop their own, to help eliminate preventable deaths.

Medical technology companies have committed to making product data available to anyone or any entity to improve patient care (subject to all applicable privacy laws).
