We are holding a one day program in Abuja, Nigeria with other partners as Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, OSHAfrica, ITUC-Africa, Patient Safety Movement Foundation, The Federal Ministry of Health, Nigerian Labour Congress and Patient Safety Learning.
We have 3 paper presentations titled:

Benchmarking global best practices in safe maternal and newborns

Actionable plans towards achieving safe maternal and newborn care

We have a number of other government agencies and stakeholder organizations that will be delivering goodwill messages also.
The program will will end with the launch of a one years campaign called “Each One Teach One” Campaign. This will be a program that will run across healthcare facilities and healthcare institution of learning in Nigeria for 2021/2022. The whole aim is to educate healthcare workers on patient safety but with a commitment from the recipient to speak to at least one person about patient safety. This will have a multiplier effect on the number of persons we are able to reach all together.

The program will be concluded by lightening up an ICONIC building with our orange colour vests.
